Medical debt is a burden that weighs heavily on countless individuals, often trapping them in cycles of financial insecurity. Together, we have the unique opportunity to bring freedom and hope to those struggling under this weight. Let’s come together as a church family to “break the chains” of medical debt in Gwinnett and beyond.
Undue Medical Debt has already done the groundwork, securing $3,000,000 of medical debt in our community and surrounding communities at a fraction of its cost. Now, we have the opportunity to join this movement by raising $15,000 by December 31, 2024, freeing families from the crushing weight of debt and offering them a fresh start.
Through this campaign, we’ll live out the call to “exist for others” in a tangible, life-changing way. Jesus paid a debt for us that we could not pay and by engaging in this project get to share that story with the families we are going to help. Every gift counts—every $1 donated cancels more than $200 in medical debt.
Together, we can multiply generosity and spread hope in this season of giving. Join us as we work to raise $15,000 and eliminate $3,000,000 in medical debt for our neighbors.
Let’s shine the light of Christ into the lives of those burdened by debt. Let’s be the church that breaks the chains of medical debt.
Why Is This Important?
Medical debt is the leading cause of bankruptcy in the U.S.
Data shows that people nationwide owe at least $195 million in medical debt.
People fear medical debt and often delay or avoid care.
More than 100 million Americans have medical debt, nearly 1 in 3 adults.
No one chooses to become sick, have a chronic illness or be in an accident. These are debts of necessity that we cannot allow to ruin lives.
